Private Equity Internship / Analyst

Nordian Capital Partners is a leading Private Equity manager in the Dutch mid-market. It focuses on majority stake investments in medium-sized Dutch companies. Nordian has invested in more than 37 companies over time and currently has € 500 million in capital under management. Founded in 2014, the company is the spin-out of Rabobank’s buy-out arm Rabo Capital. In their latest Fund, they are backed by a mix of European institutional investors, combined with our original cornerstone investors Rabobank, Commonwealth Investments (a Dutch family office) and PGGM (a leading player in pension and asset management).

Nordian typically invests in one of the following situations:

• Entrepreneur looking for succession.

• Management buy-out or buy-in (MBO/MBI).

• Large shareholder who wants to sell a (majority) interest in a company.

• Management looking for additional capital to finance growth.

• Sale of part of a larger group (carve-out).

In this private equity internship, you will be:

• Finding new opportunities and companies (sourcing).
• Project for portfolio companies, ranging from financial or operational data analyses, to strategic analyses, to even exit or add-on projects.
• Dedicated part of the deal-team whenever new investment opportunities arise.

You’ll be fully involved within the team, during weekly meetings, ongoing projects, and of course social events.

Who we are looking for in this private equity internship:

• You have an entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality.
• You combine strong analytical, social, and communication skills in your work.
• You are able to process and analyze information efficiently and independently.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• You have one or more relevant previous internship experiences (such as M&A, private equity, venture capital, or consultancy).
• You have completed a quantitative Bachelor's degree at a university (such as economics, econometrics, business administration, finance, computer science, or other STEM fields).
