Fortino Capital is a venture capital and growth equity firm that specializes in partnering with B2B Software entrepreneurs across Northwestern Europe. The firm was established in 2013 with a goal of supporting businesses that have the potential to make a significant impact in their respective sectors. Fortino Capital invests in early- and mid-cycle B2B SaaS businesses to aid their growth.
The firm has a significant international presence, with offices located in Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Munich. It leverages its extensive international network, C-level, and entrepreneurial experience to help European SaaS companies scale faster and more sustainably than their competitors.
Fortino Capital provides early-stage funding to B2B software businesses seeking strategic and operational support, offering them access to its international network of entrepreneurs, blue-chip executives, and expert advisors. For more mature companies, its Growth Equity team helps supercharge their growth by deploying capital towards business development and expansion, both organically and via M&A.
Responsibilities
In this private equity internship, you will be an important part of our investment team and be involved in all aspects of a transaction process. Your involvement will range from generating deal flow, conducting market research and business analysis, to providing general team support. Some of the activities you will be responsible for include:
- Assisting the partners and growth equity investment-team in the deal-flow processes up to the negotiations with potential portfolio companies
- Taking care of the valuation and analysis of potential investment cases as well as related market, industry and technology deep-dives
- Proactively researching and analysing market and industry trends to identify the best growth equity companies and management teams
- Creating investment proposals and presentations for internal and external use
Job Requirements
Who we are looking for in this private equity internship:
- You have an entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality.
- You combine strong analytical, social, and communication skills in your work.
- You are able to process and analyze information efficiently and independently.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English.
- You have one or more relevant previous internship experiences (such as M&A, private equity, venture capital, or consultancy).
- You have completed a quantitative Bachelor's degree at a university (such as economics, econometrics, business administration, finance, computer science, or other STEM fields).
